How much has SRV mining changed?

I have no trouble with the well known fade out of materials. Nor the recent 2.4K altitude of my SRV. I have searched many metal rich planets with no joy. I have found no organics at all to mine from them. Fdev should have organics planets as well as the usual ones. No point in saying a planet has metals when nothing shows up with the scanner.
