This gorgeous railroad crosses a 100 foot high trestle. The ride between Georgetown and Silver Plume takes about an hour. There is an optional tour of the historic Lebanon Silver Mine at roughly the halfway point on the trip. An excellent way to get off the beaten track in Colorado! Highly recommend.

Started up trail by Gold Mine Run past impressive masonry of old bridge abutment, then did off-trail exploring to some nice vistas. Also hiked through the beautiful Pine Forest section just off the trail. Once back to start, drove up the hill to do the out-back trail to Gold Mine vista which was also nice.
