I saw this stuff as I was walking the sidewalk in my neighborhood, it's cheep and fairly common landscape rock where I live. It's called 'Gold Ore' by local landscape companies - I don't actually know if it actually is or not. Those rocks are ~3-4 inches in size, so there is not going to be any dragging a magnet through them to pick stuff up.
